Brian Nanamkin

Management Analyst
Started with the Indian Health Services in October of 1991, my main reasoning for coming to the Indian Health Services; is to help the community that I was raised in.  Within my 24 years with the IHS, I have worked in several departments before accepting the position that I am in now.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I have several hobbies that include puzzles, reading but my greatest hobby is hiking in the forest. Time outside is the best therapy for myself.

Darcy Epperson

Darcy Epperson

Business Office Manager
I am pleased to say that I joined the Indian Health Services team May 2000 after proudly working at the Colville Tribal Convalescent Center for 10 years. I started at IHS as the Medicaid Biller/Accounts Receivable then took on the Medicare billing/Accounts Receivable also. I missed working with our patient’s one on one so I applied for the Patient Registration/Contact Representative position but was cross trained in many other positions within IHS and currently I have taken the role as Acting Business Office Manager.

In my spare time I enjoy camping, traveling, attending my kids sporting events, watching Seahawks Football or just spending time with my family and friends.

Practice Philosophy

A person’s health status reflects every aspect of his or her life. Jackie understands each patient is unique with specific healthcare needs. By actively listening to her patients she is able to provide them with the support, knowledge, and tools needed so they can become active participants in their own health wellness. She believes when patients take an active role, they are more willing to adhere to a plan of care, fostering better healthcare outcomes and enhanced patient satisfaction.

I graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  In 2013 my family and I relocated to Durham, North Carolina to attend graduate school at Duke University.  I completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program with a focus on rural primary care and was Board Certified in 2016.  Prior to that I have had experience in anesthesia, urgent care, research and time working in Medical Intensive Care Unit.  I am a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard as well.  Professionally, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of the 12 Tribes and learning more about the history of this area.  It is my hope to partner with each patient to improve the health of the individual, family and entire community.
My family is excited to plant some roots and call the Okanogan Valley home.  We are enjoying the small town lifestyle, our new Church and the beautiful landscapes that are everywhere.  I enjoy fishing, kayaking, hunting and especially archery.  We are also looking forward to gardening and raising a few animals for 4H with my son.
